It seems that fate has decided to bless the both of us with the new year’s gift of sickness. We both have pretty bad colds but Jess got the worst of it. Fun.
I type this as Jess is passed out after taking a concoction of various cold medicines. I’ve debated holding a mirror up under her nose to make sure she’s still alive but I’ve just resorted to shaking her until she tosses over in a barely waken daze.
Over this period of deteriorated health I have taken a liking to Rooibos tea. It’s a little different than most other teas which is something to keep in mind when trying it. We had gotten it a while ago but my expectations ended up ruining my first sampling because it was so different.
That’s it steeping in the swanky little ingenuiTEA that we got for Christmas (thanks Laura!). Rooibos is pretty cool because you can steep it forever, it’s good with milk and/or sugar and has a pretty bold flavor.
I have officially found the best coffee ever. And it only gets better–they have a shop on Forest Drive! The only one in Columbia! :-D So, Bruegger’s Bagel. Good bagels, *awesome* hazelnut coffee. mmmm http://www.brueggers.com/
